The Interview The Interview talks about the importance of interview. The author considers ‘interview’ a commonplace for journalism. Every literate person comes across it in his life. Famous personalities have different opinions about interviews. Some believes that interview is a source of truth while celebrities consider themselves as victims of interviews. They look at interviews as an unwarranted intrusion in their lives. Orthodox people believe that capturing a photograph meant stealing people’s souls. V.S. Naipul’s opinion was that some people are wounded by interviews. Lewis Caroll feared by interviews and did not consent to give any. He felt satisfied and amused at silencing all the interviewers. His duty was to cut out newspaper clipping and filing. SS Vasan was the owner of the studios. The narrator tells us about pancake, a popular make-up brand used by at Gemini Studios. Introduction Going Places by A.R. Barton is a short story about adolescent daydreaming and fantasizing. It outlines the story of Sophie, a teenage girl with a wild imagination and unrealistic expectations in life. She finds a confidant in her brother Geoff and tells him about her meeting with a famous football player named Danny Casey. Geoff does not believe her, nor does her father. She gives more appealingly realistic descriptions of Danny while talking to her brother hoping to gain his trust. Her fantasy peaks when she tells Geoff that Danny has asked her on a date. Since Geoff does not believe her, she decides to prove everyone wrong. She goes to meet Danny only to realize later that she has unreal expectations.
