Ans. The Writer had promised to open a school. Saheb had assured that he will study in her school.

The promise of opening school was not fulfilled.

Ans. The writer noticed that many ragpickers were not wearing shoes. They told the writer that it is their tradition not to wear shoes.

Ans. For parents garbage is a means of earning and their survival. Sometimes children find valuable things in the garbage. So it is also a source of adventure for them.

Ans. Saheb’s life changed when he started working at a tea stall. He earned 800 rupees with full meal but he had lost his freedom. The carefree look disappeared from his face.

Ans. Mukesh is son of poor bangle maker. He wants to be a motor mechanic. He wants to drive a car. Due to poverty he cannot fulfill his dreams.

Ans. Mukesh has the courage to think different from bangle makers. He wants to be a motor mechanic and drive a car. He also has made a plan to achieve his goal.             

    7.       How is Mukesh different from Saheb?

Ans. i. Mukesh lives at his original place but Saheb has shifted from Bangladesh to Delhi.

        ii. Mukesh belongs to bangle maker family but he wants to be a motor mechanic and drive a car. Saheb has no opportunity to fulfill his dream of study as there is no school nearby.

        iii. Mukesh has made a plan to achieve his goal but Saheb starts working in tea stall
